Yet again BEFS gets to his PC before me.... I didn't go up the lake yesterday, instead we went shopping. While parked at McDonalds with the kids a tree blew down and fell on my car and I now have a dent in the bonnet!

Todays sailing was good. The forecast said fine in the morning turning showery and cold, so I got there about 10, as early as I could. Rigged the 5.4 and picked the Axxis 103l. Gybes were a bit flaky but I was feeling good. Then the cloud arrived and killed some of the wind. It got really fluky and full of holes. In for some of Tony's homemade soup.... very good. Later the wind picked up again after a big cloud bank blew over. It was about 28 to 30 mph, so I was a bit over powerered but who cares? The gybes got really good and I was making most some on the plane on exit. I did the biggest lake jump I''d ever done and got really airborne, so I was a bit chuffed. Then I started to get hamstring cramp which always happends to me after about 4 hours worth of sailing so game over for me. After I'd got changed a 48mph squall came over and flattened those still on the water, like swatting flies. A good day, some good sailors out doing ducks and stuff. Great.
